Despite some pesky clouds, approximately 60 folks came out to see the partial lunar eclipse on August 27. The Blood Moon had approximately 96% of its surface in the shadow of the Earth at 9:13 pm PDT. And that’s the time for the image above that John Black captured.
If you didn’t make it to Battle Point Observatory, we hope you caught it somewhere. The next total lunar eclipse visible here will be June 26, 2029.
