Erin is a research scientist based in Bremerton, currently working at the University of Washington on the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. They hold a Bachelor of Science from Western Washington University, where they majored in physics and math/computer science and minored in statistics and astronomy. Erin’s work focuses on advancing astronomical data analysis and supporting the development of next-generation tools for large-scale sky surveys. They are passionate about exploring the universe through data and contributing to cutting-edge scientific discovery, as well as testing the reproducibility of previous conclusions with new data. Erin has been volunteering at BPO since 2015 and has been on the board as Education Officer since 2024.
