On August 8th, we partnered with Islandwood to host Meteor Magic: A Perseid Star Party!
The ~70 guests were treated to planetarium shows by our Program Coordinator Eleanor Uyyek as well as special night walk tours of our scale model of the solar system in Battle Point Park.
And as always, our President Frank Petrie had a crew working telescopes up on Sundial hill to explore the wonders of the universe! I’m not sure how many were able to see the Perseids, but there was plenty to see through the telescopes. The star party lasted until after midnight!
