After two years of rebuilding the observatory dome and shutter, and the installation of a new rooftop telescope, the Battle Point Astronomical Association (BPAA) is excited to announce a community open house on Saturday June 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The open house will feature:

Ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. with local dignitaries.

See the amazing new cosmic themed lobby murals painted by artist in residence Deborah Milton!

Watch a planetarium show on our new Digitalis projector for our new Park District summer programs!

Tours from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm of the completely rebuilt observatory dome and new state-of-the-art telescope, thanks to Rotary grants and donations!

Solar telescope viewing (weather permitting)

AND, meet our new staff! Thanks to your donations and support last year, we are on track to align observatory and planetarium programs with Kitsap schools’ STEAM curriculum.
