Battle Point Observatory Reopens with Ceremony and Crowds
The Battle Point Observatory celebrated its Grand Reopening on the summer solstice, Saturday June 21st with a full day of tours and exploration, drawing over 300 visitors, most of them first-time guests.

The Grand Old Fourth is an island tradition celebrating community and connection, full of activities for all ages. Enjoy Bainbridge Island’s big 4th of July parade downtown, and find our booth in the Street Fair near Town & Country!
BCF Grant Award, Thanks to You!
With your help, we did it! Thanks to your generous contributions, Battle Point Astronomical Association has been awarded a full+ grant amount of $13,485 from the Bainbridge Community Foundation 2025 Community Grants Cycle (CGC).
Paint Night at the Planetarium
Our first Paint Night at the Planetarium on June 28th was an aesthetic success! We turned our planetarium into an art studio where our budding artists created beautiful interpretations of the Milky Way galaxy!
