July volunteer opportunities:

Friday July 4th — “Grand Old Fourth” celebration, downtown Bainbridge Island: BPAA will have a booth at the festival, 10 am – 5 pm. Volunteer shifts available for 2-hour, 4-hour, or come for the day! We’re looking for volunteers to help at the booth and also to operate the solar telescope for visitors.

Sounds of Summer Concerts (Wednesday nights) at Battle Point Observatory: General event help to sit outside, welcome visitors interested in learning more about the Observatory, and listen to some great music!

Second Saturday Science Talks (2nd Saturdays, nights) at Battle Point Observatory: General event help volunteers needed for a variety of tasks — check people in at the door, take donations, or help with Zoom/sound setup. Weather conditions permitting, we have a Star Party afterwards, looking for you night owl volunteers to help with those!
