BPAA is partnering with the Bainbridge Island Land Trust for an evening at Hilltop, “Welcoming the Dark” on Saturday, September 19th, a few days before the Autumnal Equinox on the 23rd.
If skies are clear, we’ll be setting up telescopes for a Star Party in the Meadow near Prue’s House. It’s International Observe the Moon Night, and we’ll have info to share as we gaze at the night sky. You might bring binoculars to better study the Moon. Also, remember to dress warmly!
Alongside the Star Party, Bainbridge Island Land Trust will offer guided night walks. Venture into the forest trails, listen for nocturnal wildlife and experience the dark in a new way.
