It’s back-to-school season, and we’re excited to be offering FREE field trips to public school classes. If you live in the Kitsap area, make sure your local educators know about this opportunity!
The Battle Point Observatory is committed to inspiring curiosity and a love of astronomy in our community, and a huge part of that is lowering the barriers to entry. By eliminating the fees for public school field trips, we’re working to ensure that all children have equal access to our resources and equal opportunities to discover a passion for science. You can help by spreading the word and making sure that your local educators know this opportunity exists and encouraging them to learn more about what we have to offer!
Our programs page can be found here. For those interested in signing up for a field trip, you can fill out this form and we’ll send you a link to our booking page! Any additional questions can be directed to our Programming Coordinator at programs@bpastro.org.
This opportunity is made possible by generous donors who have contributed to our STEAM Initiative. If you’d like to support free astronomy programming for schools, you can make a donation here!
