Have you heard about Astrospheric? It’s an important weather forecast tool for North American astronomers and astrophotographers, and an expanded version is available for free to BPAA members!
Astrospheric primarily uses the Canadian RDPS weather model and incorporates the GFS model for additional variables, along with NOAA’s RAP. This multiple model approach, constant data refresh, and dynamic forecast built on a map overlay of your location, creates a powerful tool for astronomers. It’s available by app and on a browser, you can see it in action for Battle Point Observatory on our Weather page. As a BPAA Member, you’re eligible to upgrade to a free Astro Society Edition of Astrospheric ($30 value).
