Back to School!
We’re officially back to school this month, which means that our STEAM initiative is back in full swing! Any K-12 school in Kitsap County is invited to come to the observatory for a free field trip to learn about the stars.

July Saturday Planetarium Shows
Our weekly planetarium shows continue this month, but only on July 18, at 12:30 and 2:30! So many other activities on Bainbridge that we’re supporting – including the Grand Old Fourth on 7/4 and the Rotary Auction on 7/11!
June Saturday Planetarium Shows
Our weekly planetarium shows continue this month on June 6, 13, & 20 at 12:30 and 2:30! There won’t be any shows on June 27 – that’s when we kick off the Introduction to Astronomy 101 class.
May Saturday Planetarium Shows
Our weekly planetarium shows continue this month on May 9, 16, 23 & 30 at 12:30 and 2:30! There will be only one show at 2:30 pm on May 2 due to BI Parks Carnival event.
April Saturday Planetarium Shows
Our weekly planetarium shows continue this month on April 4, 11, 18 & 25 at 12:30 and 2:30! Exact content is flexible based on audience interest, but common topics include constellations, planets, seasons, and astronomy history.
In observance of International Dark Sky Week, we will present a Special Movie at the Planetarium “Losing the Dark” with conversation to follow, during Planetarium shows on 4/18 12:30 pm & 2:30 pm.
February Planetarium Shows

Planetarium Shows in January
Planetarium Shows at Battle Point Observatory. Shows offered at 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm on the following Saturdays in January – 3 (12:30 show only), 17, and 31.
Planetarium Cove Lights Update
The Rudolph Planetarium has been enhanced with the addition of multicolor LED cove lights.
