The Green Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) was here!
Thank you everyone who came out to the Ritchie Observatory to view the comet, or watched the livestreams, on several nights during January and February. In spite of freezing temperatures and intermittent clouds, we’ve had multiple opportunities to see a rare and beautiful event!

In some of the images, notice the faint, thin ion tail extending from the nucleus. If you jump through the recordings several minutes at a time you can see the comet’s motion against the background stars. Pretty cool!
